Old Past Equipment

(This is from an old home page of mine, below is the equipment I had in 1999 before I sold most of it to buy my house. The EVW-300 I sold in 1998 a few months after I moved to Texas. Other equipment I bought living in Texas)

Sony BVP5/BVV1A BetaCam

  • Canon YJ17 x 9.5 B4 17X CCD

  • Sony BVV-1A Betacam back

  • Sony BVP-5 3CCD camera head

  • Anton Bauer brick battery

Here are a few images captured from tape

  • Solid recording and playback

  • Betacam SP playback

Sony DHR-1000 DV VCR (consumer DV full size tapes)

The camera on top is a Sony EVO-9100 Hi8 2/3 single CCD camcorder
I no longer have this camera, but I should of kept it. It had a beautiful image for a single CCD

Great format next to Betacam. I dub all my Betacam footage to DV and then to my PC for editing.
The Digital Video Deck, DHR-1000, represents Sony's commitment to the leading edge of technology. Never before has any manufacturer offered to the consumer the technology and quality that the DHR-1000 provides. The combination of professional quality video, exceeding 500 lines of horizontal resolution, and advanced features such as: PCM audio, (either 12 or 16 bit), DV and analog input/outputs, 10 Segment Assemble Editor w/Edit Window, removable Editing Tray, Jog/Shuttle Dial, 'mini' and 'standard' DV cassette compatibility, TBC, audio/video insert, video on sound, Fine Synchro Edit, VCR Plus+, and a 181 channel cable ready tuner with 8 event/1 month timer, offer unprecedented capabilities

  • PCM audio makes a great master deck for music only (Similar to a DAT recorder)

  • This has the Carson PCM audio mode to output audio in all playback speeds.

My past camera was a Sony EVW-300
